Segensworth Small Business Up For Prestigious National Award
Digi Toolbox, a Segensworth based IT, Telecoms and Web Design company, is a national finalist for the FSB and Worldpay UK Business Awards 2017, for the category of Employer of the Year.
The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) has joined forces with Worldpay, a global leader in payments processing technology – to celebrate innovation, diversity and social responsibility within the UK small business community, and recognises the crucial role that these companies play in the wider economy.
Now in their fourth year, the FSB Worldpay Business Awards, will take place in London on May 10th, where the 11 national category winners and the overall Business of the Year 2017 will be announced by Tim Campbell MBE. Tim is founder of the Bright Ideas Trust and winner of the BBC’s first series of ‘The Apprentice’.
Digi Toolbox Owner – Mark Viccars comments “At a time when much of the news is focused on the uncertainty of being a small business in the UK, I think that it’s great to be a part of an event that celebrates the hard work of those who have taken the big step of running their own business.”
Digi Toolbox Ltd has already beaten competition from other Southern companies in the ‘Employer of the Year’ category to go through to be national finalists for Employer of the year. Owner Mark Viccars explains “Our staff are absolutely the heart of our business and their happiness and satisfaction is reflected in how they work with our customers.”
Digi Toolbox believe in Inclusion and equality and in January 2017 became involved in Southampton City Council’s ‘Transitional Employment Programme’ This initiative supports long term unemployed people to get back into the workforce and gain vital work experience whilst being mentored by their staff. Mark explains “We believe in looking beyond the usual employment avenues that other companies use and because of this we have been able to utilise a wealth of resources that many employers overlook.”
Digi Toolbox has a belief that fostering a culture of creativity will produce happier, more motivated employees who are more loyal and productive. Our staff are highly talented and creative and they are encouraged to follow their pursuits and passions out of the office and working hours can be adapted to ensure they can do this.
The FSB and WorldPay Awards will take place in London on Wednesday 10th May. For further details of the awards or Digi Toolbox’s range of products and services, please contact Mark Viccars on: 01489 297070
