LEE ON THE SOLENT LOCAL SET TO SKYDIVE FROM 10,000 FEET TO RAISE MONEY FOR MENTAL HEALTH CHARITY
Kirsty Campbell, a Lee on the Solent resident, will face her biggest fear in a few short weeks and jump 10,000 feet from a plane, all in aid of raising money for the mental health charity – Mind.
Kirsty, 35, a HR Manager at local IT Specialist – Digi Toolbox will be pushed out of her comfort zone, all in the hopes of raising £650 for Mind, a cause that she holds close to her heart. Kirsty comments “I’m taking part in this event for Mind because I really believe in their cause. The charity helps one in four people in the UK that experiences a mental health problem, every year. The money raised will fund their vital work including the Mind Infoline and advice services.” Mind provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem.
Kirsty’s work colleagues at Digi Toolbox are impressed with her bravery and can’t wait to support her in her skydive. Owner Mark Viccar’s comments: “We are all very proud of Kirsty and are behind her 100% we will be there on the day to cheer her on and help her to fundraise to get the total as high as possible for Mind”
Wife to Colin and Mum to Grace (10) and James (13)has had a phobia of heights and thought that a skydive would really challenge her on every level. Kirsty comments “For 2017 I wanted to do something to really push myself and this is one of the toughest yet most thrilling challenges of my life. I believe that Mind is a charity that deserves more awareness and funding and knowing that the money I raise will be used to improve the lives of people living with mental health problems, is amazing.”
